Shepherd's Home Hardware Contest Rules:
Contest Eligibility and Close Date :The contest is open only to
residents of Armstrong and surrounding area, who have reached the age of
majority, and have made a RETAIL purchase at Shepherds Home Hardware within the
calendar month of the contest closing date. This contest excludes all employees (current and retired) of Shepherds Home
Hardware Ltd. ("Shepherd's") and their immediate families, as well
as Shepherd's Charge Account holders (See 'Purchase Eligibility' Below). To be eligible, entries must be received online by
May 31, 2012 at midnight ("Contest Closing Date"). Maximum 5 entries per
Customer.
Purchase Eligibility: This contest is for Retail Customers Only.
Charge account customers should contact our
Contractor Desk and Inquire
about Home Hardware's 'Top Notch' Reward Program. Receipt numbers that qualify
for our monthly contests are numbered between 1000000 and 1999999. Max 5 entries
per Customer (ROA numbers do NOT qualify as these are payments on In-Store
Charge Accounts)
Prizes: There is one prize available to be won, consisting
of the items shown at top of page, under the heading 'Includes:' Approximate retail value is
shown (CDN) and varies month to month. Winner will be
required to pick up the prize from Shepherd's Home Hardware.
Entry Selection: The winner will be chosen by computer
using a program which picks a random name from a list.
Prizes may not be exactly as shown in contest publicity or promotional
materials. All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to shall
be the responsibility of winner.
Contacting Eligible Winners: Shepherd's will attempt to contact the eligible
winner by telephone, within 7 business days following the draw. We will NOT
leave a message. You must be available on the phone. In
order to be declared a winner, each selected entrant must first have complied
with the rules.
If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within 7 business days of the draw or
if contacted does not claim his or her prize on or before date and time
specified by Shepherd's or does not meet all of the contest conditions, another
entry will be selected from all remaining eligible entries, and Shepherd's shall
be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or
responsibility of any nature and kind to any previously selected entrant in this
regard.
Prize Substitution: Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable,
non-refundable, have no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded
with no substitutions. Shepherd's reserve the rights, at their sole discretion,
to substitute the prize(s) awarded with prize(s) of equivalent or greater value
for any reason.
General Conditions: Successful entrants will be instructed how to claim their
prize. The decisions of Shepherd's is final.
Publicity: By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these
rules and the decision Shepherd's, and consents to the use of their name, city
of residence, likeness, photograph, image and voice without payment or
compensation, in any publicity or advertising in any medium carried out by
Shepherd's. All entries become the property of Shepherd's and will not be
returned.
Termination: Shepherd's reserve the right, to cancel, modify, terminate or
suspend this contest in whole or in part if for any reason the
contest is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to,
technical failure, or computer virus, tampering, fraud, or corruption of
security or proper administration of the contest without prior notice. In such
event, a winner may be selected by randomly drawing from among all valid entries
received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension. The right
is reserved to terminate, modify or withdraw this contest at any time without
prior notice with approval from the store owners.
Hold Harmless: In particular, Shepherd's will not be responsible if for any
reason the prize winner is not satisfied with his/her prize. This Contest will
be run in accordance with these Rules, subject to amendment by Shepherd's
Home Hardware Ltd.
Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programme, or any other automated
means are prohibited and will be disqualified.
Shepherd's Home Hardware Ltd. shall not be responsible for typographical or
other errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not
limited to, errors in advertising, the official rules, the announcement of
winner, distribution of the prize or any technical malfunctions.
